Has anyone heard of a "kit" or company that has a product that I can get rid of the ugly plastic license plate holder. I have looked at "Hot Bodies, Etc. and none of these companies seem to have a kit for my old bike.... Thanks

 

Take a sawzall and cut it, that's what every used bike I have had had done to it. I never actually did it myself, but you just decide where you want it to end and cut it off, making sure to keep it straight and uniform. Don't take off the chain guard though, unless you like poo slung on your legs and your bike.

 

I bought my 95 this way, and I can't say for sure that it's not home made.

I took the sawzall to my license plate holder and added flush mount turn signals and a lit license plate holder....It looks SICK!!!

 

I just cut mine off with a tenon saw (fine teeth, and braced back so it cuts straight),parallel to the ground, right where the standard one changes shape.
It looks way better (difficult not to!), and cost nothing.

According to this member that kit is available off of eBay. Don't know whether the kit is still available or not, but it is worth checking eBay
