Default Exhaust recommendations please

I just picked up a 1990 CBR 1000F with 53k miles. Got a killer deal on it and couldn't resist - logically.

However, she has a 4-1 conversion that replaced the original dual pipes.
The conversion is by Kerker: See Pic:

The pipes are exposed, which I'd rather have them concealed.
The sound isn't all too bad, however, I'm one of the few that prefers a dead silent bike. The less noise from the exhaust, the happier I am. Weird. I know

Anyhow, please show your exhaust images and maybe tell me a bit about them, where i can get them, cost, the noise level, etc. I'm not sure that I'm happy with the 4-1 conversion.

Thanks guys!

If you want quiet, go back to the stock exhaust. They come up on ebay now and then. I got a full stock system, including cans, header and heat shields for my 95 for about $100 about 5 years ago. I prefer quiet too- fewer speeding tickets, happier neighbors, and I'm more willing to hold off on my shifts with a quieter exhaust. As for concealed pipes, you're probably out of luck unless you're willing to make some major mods to your bike. There's nothing off the shelf that I'm aware of.
One more thing, before Shadow gets to you, update your profile to show where you're located.

Doesn't really annoy me much, I usually assume that no location means the poster is located in the USA (thanks fargat for updating and also proving my point). We're the only ones arrogant enough to assume that that is understood. Most of the American newbies don't understand that this is an international board.

Paco: I bow before You! You are from now on my idol!

@FargAT: A possibility is to only change your can. That is an extremly small can, and the reason it's so loud. There is rather cheap cans out there that probably will bolt on.

Not originals, but similar to my own, and in the US.

These Nexxus units in the UK are very nice too.

That looks like the manifold I had on mine. With a new link pipe and a larger road legal silencer it sounded nice but not noisey.

The two pics show the new can & link pipe. And what it looks like if you modify the OEM exhaust shields and reattach them

Thanks folks!

Keep the suggestions coming please!
The lower the audible noise levels, the better it is. I suppose, the question becomes, which pipe has the least noise, while still looking suitable for the bike?

Least noise - original pipes
Best looking - for my money, the Nexxus pipes, and they're not too loud.......
