Default Exhaust prices UK to USA

HI ALL

I am looking to replace mt system with the Vance & Hines 4-1, you all know, black down tubes and round can.

UK price £450 approx $800-900

USA price $392 approx £200

I can get this shipped from the USA for $492 includding shipping about £200-250

What a rip off Bloody Britain we live in.

I will be buying it from our friend over the POND.

Only thing that springs to mind is that the noise level may be different ?

deffo getting some nice bargains us to uk at the moment, even with vat they work out well cheaper.just got a full helmet speaker setup(top quality speakers etc) for 15£ delivered, bloody 45£ over here.
takes 2 weeks to get here tho but worth it.
note:for some reason there was no vat duty on the headset etc so some things appear exempt.

On a 87 1000F, I recently replaced the stock exhaust that had some still clean LouD Cobra F1r's of the day on them with the V&H 4 to 1 Supersport $336 US.and re-jetted with Stage 1. The loundness albeit alower toneis still enough of an issue to wear earplugs. It is pretty tame at lower cruising speeds but when you go through the gears, it makes it's presence know! I was expecting quieter from the mfr. descsription of their "improved" baffling system, but looking at the size of can when it arrived, I had my doubts. No negative attention frompolice onnoise levels so far and I trynot to gun it while leaving the neighborhood.
I'm still getting use to the loss of symmetrywith 4to1 Sport' look. The angle of the mounted can is not parallel to the line of bike. I kicks out a few degrees as it travels from underneath the bike to the tip. Not sure if that's a V&H's "look" thing or part of theoverall "less bends" dyno test design.I wonder if fit and noise levels would have been different with the more expensive V&H oval shaped SSR2 can
