Default Exhaust - For the last time

Ok, I've owned my '96 for the last five years. In that time, I have been all over the net and contemplated various systems (Two Brothers, nexus, laser) but they are just too expensive for this old bike. I am just looking for a little better sound. So...

Does anyone know how (and what cannisters) I can fit directly to the stock system, keeping the factory exhaust shrouds, center stand, the whole bit. I want black or carbon fiber look. Is there a suitable slip on I can get?

I've been there too... finally decided for the Motad's Nexxus, hopefully they'll sound as good as they look

I dont get how the Motad System is a 'cheap' alternative. from my calculations the cans alone are $300GBP ($467 USD) the complete V&H system is about the same price...

EDIT: And I assume he is looking for something a little more budget friendly considering he mentioned the expense of other manufacturers.

Ok I just got a reply from Delkevic..two mufflers for $280 USD. I like the price but I've never heard of them. They are also stainless and not black.

Is there any reason why can't I just put a couple of used Two Bros or Yoshis on it?

right here : http://www.delkevic.us/?section=shop...mufflers_xdlxb

Plus shipping I'm sure. I confirmed the price with the company. I just have to decide if I get these if I should have them powder coated or leave them stainless. Seems like a waste to paint stainless but it doesn't really go with the look of my bike.

There was a thread on improving the exhaust note , guys were drilling a couple of holes in the end of the cans . That would be a dirt cheap option if all you need is a better sound . Here's a link

But if you need the new cans anyway the Delkevic seem to be good value.

Default BSM exhaust

Might as well add this one too. This BSM two can system is € 884.00 which is about $1300 Canadian plus shipping. This is the best looking one though, IMO. WAY too expensive.

Wow, great thread. Now you've got me thinking! I just find it's kinda like putting a playing card in your spokes. So ghetto! LOL
