Only once with the 17/42 gearing. Bike is nose heavy, but will leave a good black stripe if you push it....[X(]

There are no problem lifting the -87/88 model.

With stock 17/42 gearing (as in my avatar): Just get it into the right rev, release the throttle and quickly give it full throttle again and the front will rise. Or if you want it smoother, use the clutch in lower rev.

With 17/45 (as I use nowadays, god modification): Just turn your right hand and wait. In 1:st gear the front ALWAYS rises with maximum acceleration.

Clutch, clutch, clutch, clutch, more clutch controlAND ***** - thats all it takes.

I have standard gearing, second gear, revs around 5000, finger the clutch while posting revs around 9-10,000 and be brave it is heavy, but balanced. Have fun.

Nearly every gear change is a speed change on the way up, with a blip on the way down - sounds cool
