Default Electrical System

So, found out why I had no power to my starter relay, loose ground from the clutch switch. Now I started hooking everything up and I noticed the foul smell of burnt wire insulation, I proceed to look to my left and notice smoke coming from under my instrument panel and from the wires that run to the oil pressure sender unit in the bottom of the engine.. In a quick panic I disconected the battery and let everything cool off. I discovered that the clutch diode decided burn up and apparently I short circuited something in the mess. My question is, will the bike run right without the clutch diode because I have not seen them on Ebay. Yeah, I'm not much of an electrician.

Thanks,
Ryan

The clutch switch on the handlebar? It runs about $15.
