Comments on accessories wiring?
I bought a Zumo the other day and I'm contemplating how I will wire its power supply into the 1kF: option one - hard wired to battery, option two - attach to accessories circuit.
I'm leaning toward the accessories circuit, and with that in mind, where is an ideal +ve connection point? I'm thinking on the fuse board under the panel under the handle grips... any suggestions?

I've got a Nuvi on my bike. It's wired into the accessory wiring harness under the fuse block. I used a meter to determine what wire was a switched +12v when the key was on and 0v when the key was off. I used a standard wiring "splice tap" that you can get at Radio Shack or someplace similar to attach the positive lead. As for the ground wire, there's not many good grounds behind the fairing. I routed a wire back to where the ground wire of the battery attaches to the frame. It works great. The only down side is that the Nuvi is not water proof like the Zumo. I'm keeping my eye on the prices and when the near the $500 mark, I'll probably upgrade.
Good luck with your install.
Edit, corrected spelling.

I had to do something similar when I added some lights to the front. I added a relay, mounted it to the wire harness holder bolt behind the fuse block (also made a good ground point), spliced into the taillight to switch the relay on, and ran the battery cables up the left side of the bike with the rest of the harness.
