Default clicking sounds

i am getting a clicking sound from under my bike it sounds like something cliking on then off i only hear it when i am almost stopped or just taking off courios if it is a normally sound or something i should check out thanks for you help 1990 1000 f

Could also be the fuel pump. Have a listen behind the left side cover.

Put the bike on the center stand. Spin the rear wheel. Start the bike and put it in gear and listen.
Have some one sit on the bike and spin the front wheel.

Could be chain hitting the guard?????


Edit: Note, a clicking sound could indicate a head pipe leak. Check there, the sound is carried and hard to pin point.

Try braking just using the back brake ? if you dont hear anything i would look at the steering stem bearings see if there loose, or even need replacing , have a look at your calipers see if there loose? seen 1 come of with a friend infront of me 1 sec hes there next hes over a hedge as he pulled the front brake and it came off..

thanks i have looked at most of that stuff and i does it when i am sitting still also is there something towards the bottom of the bike that turns on and off thanks again

Well, it's not a feul pump. I have no idea what would click when the bike is at rest and running.
