Charging problems again.

I replaced my burnt up stator and alternator cover. It tested fine as well as the R/R (both tested seperately while not installed) I didn't have a multimeter at the garage to test anything once it was installed. Bike was kept on a battery maintainer so the battery was fully charged. I disconnected it to install the alternator cover and figured I'd change the oil and filter since I was already doing work on it. After changing the oil, I let it run for maybe 15-20 minutes to circulate and then went for a ride being sure to stay close to my garage in case it decided to die again. Seemed all good (again without a multimeter to see what voltage was coming from from the alternator) so I locked up the garage and started to head home. About half way...boom, dead. Most of my ride was at high rpms...afterall, I've been waiting for about a month now to ride her so :icon_bike: Coasted to an off-road park and battery was reading 11 volts. RR gave good numbers as well as the alternator, although I couldn't start the bike to check the voltage come from the alternator 6p. It's on a charger now so I'm planning on going back in an hour or so to test.

So I'll be testing the connectors, alternator charge voltage, and all wires for breaks/shorts. Is there anything else you guys can think of that I should be checking?

Went through the flow chart in my service manual. Although I got some lower readings from the alternator 6p connector (probably my multimeter's fault) it came down to a faulty r/r. I had already bought an Electrosport r/r prior to diagnosing my burnt stator so I tossed that on and started up the bike. I was only a hair above 12v and at ~2000RPM I was reading 13v from the battery. It was already 10PM and I have two tenants in the apartments above my garage so I didn't wanna make too much noise. I'm hoping this is a good indication that I am finally back to charging normally. I guess we'll find out tomorrow. I didn't want to take it home and get stranded (again) 15 miles from my house, truck, and trailer so I took the Harley instead. Sorry to post another charging issue thread. I could've sworn I checked the r/r and it read within spec, but luckily I already had a new one.
