edit/update: ok after ordering and waiting for 2 weeks as told by the good guys at dave silver spares my new alternator finaly arrived, once fitted ( in less than 1 hour) tested with high beam on 14.5v at 4000 rpm, so a total sucess, only problem when i finished i casualy pushed the bike off the centre stand, loosing my balance and tiping the bike over!, result, smashed tail light GGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRR, i was so pissed, guess i was luck that was the only damage,

at least now i can ride with the lights on without worrying about my battery going flat, (felt nakid without headlight on all the time)

battery went flat again , have been usuing lights nearly all the time , with revs mostly above 1500rpm, got home tried to start, and only just started, threw voltage test on, and with no load, only 12.16v at around 2000 rpm, then around 3000rpm almost 12.9v with load even worse, ok, so originaly a new volatage reg was tried and didnt make any differnce at all so im like wtf can i do now??? if i ride the bike with no lights on its fine, the battery will charge up and the charging will read as normal like it did when i tested when i fitted the new alternator under load it was perfect, the only thing i can think of is either buy a new volate reg (genuine one) or take a bulb out of the headlight (there are 2) as i am mostly stop starting at traffic lights all the time i know its not perfect, but there is def something wrong

help!

If there's any chance that you could do a milli-amp test to see if something is draining the battery when you're not running the bike?

By chance, are you running some very higher rated bulbs (65w+ for low beam, never mond the high) versus what came stock (45/55w)
