Default chain n sprockets

Just had a new set of Dunlop Qualifers put on{Great tires for touring on}and a new chain and sprockets,I asked my Mechanic for the best chain and original sprockets,We put in an order from the US and after going through hell at customs we got it,now what I wanted to know was how mauch would a chain cost??I did ask for a good strong gold chain but charged me 310$ for the chain alone{before shipment and taxes}all in all it came up to 750$ for the chain and sprockets{including tax}Does this sound Ok???I remember on my previous bike{KATANA1100}it was half the price for strenthed chain and sprockets so does anybody know if this is the right price??
Ohh,I ride a 95 model..thanks all....

YOU HAVE BEEN TOTALLY RIPPED OFF BROTHER.[:@][:@][:@]
Next time you need parts, tell us and we'll send them to you.
That's a total disgrace - For top class stuff here, I paid $150US for Xlink chain and sprockets !
And that's in SA !
Bad news, as if you folks don't have enough to deal with...............[X(]

well that chain must be made of real gold then.
But yes that high prices are insane even here where we are used to not get things as cheap than they would be on larger markets.

S'cool, Bru !
If you like I'll send you Charlies Chat from Bike SA - very few on here would understand our 'Local is lekker' dialect. Check you later, maChinah ![X(]
PM me in future if you need parts, I'll buy them here and send them as a gift, to reduce import duty. Gotta help our displaced Springbok !

That can be arranged..........
Biltong...............Current price here is around $15 US per kilo........
I will think of you next time I chomp some.........
(for those of you that don't know, biltong is dried meat made from either game or beef, marinated in rock salt, spiced and left to dry in the wind for about a week-similar to pemmican or beef jerky) I'm an addict, like most of the country............

Tyre prices for Michelin Pilot Road 2s 180R+120F........$250 per pair....US Dollars
Front sprocket $15 Rear $30 X link chain .......around $100 US
For what you paid, I could have got you
2 sets of tyres, a full set of chain and sprockets AND paid the postage.
I'm sick...................
