First off congrats on the buying a Hurricane 1000. Great bike and welcome to the forum. To answer your question about the amber turn signal indicator no it wont fit. The 89 front top fairing was a more of a sleeker design than the 87-88 Hurricanes front top fairing. Also the amber turn signal indicator is a different design. Keep looking on ebay or Amazon one will pop up.

Welcome the CBR Forum Mark,

Mark CBR1000F 1987 to 1988
Mark 2 CBR1000F 1989 to 1992
Mark 3 CBR1000F 1993 to 1998

With a bit of blurring in dates between the Mk 2 and Mk 3 in some countries.

All three 'models' as HurricaneMatt rightly points out - have different indicators both in shape and mounting.

You may strike it lucky with a member who reads this thread and has a spare. Otherwise look in your local wreckers or online via Craiglist or Fleabay.

Good luck with the hunt.

Cheers, SB

I'll wager he's from the UK. I don't believe nearside/offside is widely used outside of there?
