RE: cbr 750f wee cbr 1000f
The 750 was not a long living production model in the CBR configuration, if memory serves me correctly. I guess the biggest question is whether or not, you could stuff 1000 motor into the chassis is that the question |

RE: cbr 750f wee cbr 1000f
Anything is possible - however, if you look at the differences in other bikes that had 750 and 1000 models, the frames, fork stanchions, brakes etc were generally a little bigger (and stronger) on the 1000 model than on the 750 of the same bike, to carry the increased weight , power and torque of the 1000 engine. Hondas are the same......The only model CBR750 was around 1987/8....you can still find the odd one around, and they went well, with a top end of around 125 MPH. They looked almost identical to the original 87 Hurricane. Would I buy one with a 1000 engine ? No, probably not..
If you are thinking about it, check the bike's paperwork and compare engine numbers actual number against the logbook number - it may have been changed, and if so, you will need the paperwork confirming that the engine wasn't stolen. If in doubt - don't...... |
