i have manage to pick up a fan switch from a local brakers yard. going to fit it tonight and just wanted to know what the reserve for the coolant does at the back of the bike if you top up the radiator directly from the filler cap at top of the bike under the petrol tank?

Cheers

The 1000f likes to heat up very very fast when in slow moving traffic and when setting still. On my bike I just disconnected my heat sensor and wired my fan up to a toggle switch. This way i can turn my fan on be for the bike even starts to get hot. Not to mention that switch is used to power something else muahahaha.

haha that special go fast juice..... I have it wired in to the same switch as my fan. This way when my fan is on i know i am hot and when its off some retard can't come up and go whats that button do and push it while i'm setting some where idling. The fan i guess helps me remember when its on or off that way i avoid leaving it on by accident.

I suggest you also check the thermostat, if there was deposite in the radiator it might not work correctlu, also to clean up the cooling system use a mixture of 50/50 white veinegar and aslo distilles water. for thexpansion cut the tube halfaway otherwise you will spew collant, the system tricked into that the expansion tank is full.

I also have a switch when i am stuck in traffic or running low speed.

My temp gage needle show halfway btween low and middle of the gage when riding casually.

Enjoy your bike they are incredidble all around bikes.

Remember - fill the radiator at the radiator and don't overfill the coolant bottle - stay within the marks - if you do overfill, it'll spit green/blue/yellow coolant all over the bike wherever your overflow hose is routed. Not good for paint

I have it wired in to the same switch as my fan

So if your NOs is powered by the same switch as your fan what do you do in traffic, Josh ?
Get the h...ll out of there fast ?
LOL
