Default Carby bowl Gaskets " HELP"

G'day All
I have just purchased an 89 1kF / K? red/white/ blue
My problem is some muppett has sealed the bowls with silicone which has found its way through virtually evey jet in the carb's
now I have checked for gaskets for this & they are genuine $55 per rooster or are the gaskets for the 87FH & 88FJ models the same as they are available for $7 non gen.....or can someone steer me in the right direction for non gen FK gaskets.
Cheers pete

Blimey Chimp, your thread must have been stuck in a time vortex. Most unusual that no one heard you calling for help.
Try David Silva spares or Wemoto. Both good UK outfits but happy to ship abroad. Always keen prices.
Bad luck on the lack handed approach of the PO. It happens.
There are lots of guys here who know their stuff when it comes to carbs. I hope one of them has the time to add some wisdom from experience.
It should all clean up nicely when you've got the parts in your hands.

Good luck

if you want to save some $$ and the current gaskets can be cleaned good enough

you could reuse the old gaskets sammiched between this stuff LINK
it specific for Motorcycle Carb Gaskets

Ya might save about 140 bucks

You prolly have a euro 89 which is not the same as a 87-88. I had the same issue with mine, po had used gasket sealant. The jets were full of chit. I cleaned them off and they seal fine.
I'm interested in seeing if the set you get work or not. I know they're super expensive

Brilliant Pete - and isn't Naga a dyed in the wool gem! I'll have to get some of those $22 gaskets I think.

Cheers, SB
