I have found another engine from a 91 model, will it bolt straight in, mine's a 92.

Bolts right in, no problem.
Save the parts and maybe have the old engine welded when you have it in pieces, then you'll have a spare - always a good thing !
Bad luck Johnno, but at least now all will be well

Thanks guys,

I am still undecided as to what to do.

1. part her out and put the money towards a newer bike
2. spend the money on the second motor
3. wheel her into the shed cover her up and walk away

For what it's worth the wife want me to part her out, can't blame her really

It is a real crappy place to be right now, might check back in a few weeks and let you all know the outcome.

But in SOME corners (the spousal corner), that will be viewed as pouring good money after bad.

They aren't making Hurricanes anymore but thousands of females are born every day. Think about it.

You're forgetting the well known legal concept of "No body, no crime".
