Default Buying a CBR 100098

Hi there,
I am new to this forum. I use to a have a CBR 600, but have for the past year been running a an er5. Anyway I will cut to the chase, my uncle is a bit of a bike hoarder, He has two Hondas and two BMWs. Anyway I have been offered the Hurricane at the price he paid for £1500..It is a T reg, with arounf 30k on the clocks it has only had two owners and has stacks of paperwork and MOTs, it also has been fitted with a viper exhaust system, my question is did the later models have the Cam chain tension-er sorted and as yet I have not seen the bike, but from what he has said he has kept it garaged and knows both previous owners. Does this seem like a good deal?

Many thanks
Dan W

Welcome to the forum, your uncle is not just a hoarder, was he a used car salesman at one time.
Also, this thread is for videos, I am sure some Mod will fix for you.

Depends on condition Dan.

£1500 sounds OK to me if she looks like this one :-

Well did you buy it? Let's have some pictures, we love pictures. Cam chain issues only in 88-89 models I believe.

Hi Hawkins, yeah it's a similar bike with similar milage. But sadly no luggage racks. I have had for nearly a week and am really impressed with it. I hoping to do all the basic maintenance myself as I got a Haynes manual from eBay, the manual only goes up to 96 though..am hoping that there were no significant changes hence why they stopped at 96. Cheers. Dan
