Thanks for you 2 cents guy's. I found a co-worker who welds, actually went to school for it, and offered his services, NICE! He began to explain to me all the different types of welding which I didn't understand, so based on that I trust he can do the job. I plan to remove the brace/bracket before any welding starts.
I 'll get picks in the next few days to detail my problem and my fix.

Just a small tip.....
When you weld the stay, wad up some wet newspaper around all the other tubes - it'll keep the heat locallised and stop the tubes from distorting.
(I have a mate who's an expert and that's what he says)

Here is what I was describing , I just removed everything so I can take it to my buddy who is gonna weld it back to the way it was.

Clean it all up and remove all rust, and when welded, either powdercoat it or use a decent galvanising paint and then a coat of black.
I'd have it powdered myself.
Use the wet newspaper......................

got it back from my buddy who actually brazed it. Came out great. I forgot one thing though, I didn't take any pictures. i was too excited to get back riding I guess. I was itching all over. Anyway, put it back on bolted everything up and now i'm good to go.
