It almost seems i spend more time working on my bike than riding( you'd think it was a Harley). I have a piston knock now. Im not sure if its the rod brg. or the wrist pin but when I pull the plug wire for cyl. number 2 it goes away. ive already pulled the engine and im getting ready for disassembly. about a year ago someone posted a service manual on here for my bike. A 1991 CBR 1000f. If anyone still has that i would greatly appreciate it. Also has anyone run into this problem? Im going to replace the oil pump if i can will i'm in there and i just want to make sure i shouldnt be looking for something else.

I have a spare 1993 cbr1000f motor available. I live in CT. It has 14000 miles and runs perfect.

That might be your best bet. I will let it go for less than the norm, infact, the whole parts bike can go, I am selling the running cbr(1991) currently.
