Brake Question Need Some Parts ->
Hello All I Just Got A 1994 Honda CBR 1000F. The Person Before Me Had The Rotor Get Hot From A Stuck Brake. So Now It Has New Seals In The Caliper, 2 New Rear Brake Lines, New Pads, The Bike After You Bleed The Brakes There Fine Until You Hit The Brakes And They Wanna Stick The Rear That Is.. Is This The Warped Rotor? If So Does Anyone Have A Nice One For Sale Let Me Know And Glad To Be A Member Here... Thanks Zach

RE: Brake Question Need Some Parts ->
Warped rotors normally cause pulsation of the lever (front) or pedal (rear)when you apply the brake. Calipers sticking is a problem with the piston/seal in the caliper that doesn't allow the piston to retract into the caliper bore after releasing the brake.

This Is A Linked Brake Sysytem, And When The Front Brakes Are HitBack Brakes Also Does The SameIt Makes The Rear Caliper Stick And Slows The Bike Down And Makes The Rear Rotor Smoke. Bleed The System From Rear And It Frees It Up.Thought I Give You Alittle More Info. Once Again Thanks For The Quick Reply..

A Freind Did This, I Just Bought The Bike Today..Im Not SureHow HeBled The System. I Just Know He Hard Braked The Bike At High Speeds And The Rear Caliper Locked Up And Came Loose AlittleAnd He Tryed To Drive It Home And The Rear Brake Rotor Got Beat Red And Got So Hot It Blew Both Rear Brake Lines. So Something Must of Happened...
When He Bled The System The Bike Moves Freely Until He Hits The Front Brakes Couple Times Then The Drag Comes On To The Rear.. Thats The Best I Can Explain It.. Hmmm I Just Would Like To Know What Needs Fixed So I Can Drive It..Thanks

Ok, the front brake activates the center piston on the rear caliper. The rear brake pedal uses the outer pistons on the rear caliper. It sounds like the center piston was not bled from the slave cylinder. This would mean that the fluid cannot return when the brake lever is released. Also, I would take a good look at those pads now that they've been torched more than once. Shadow1 should be in here any second posting a link to the service manual.
