Front axle removal

Front axle removal
Hi fellow cbr riders
I want to remove the front wheel to paint the rim and get a new tyre. I removed the 4 clamping bolts but the axle will not come out it's spins ok and moves left and right 1/8th of an inch. It's not stuck in the forks
I inserted a long bolt into the axle and hit it a lot but its really in there and doesn't budge just the 1/8th movement
how hard can I hit this and could I break anything?
Thanks for your help

You have to take off/loosen the axle bolt after the pinch bolts on that side are lose. On the other side the pinch bolts have to be still tight in place.
You can't hit it to push out, as it won't go out that way. Get a manual or look for a YouTube video on how to.

hi guys
sorry I get it now, I thought the shaft slide out the bolt side
but the bolt threads into the shaft and screw together, all makes sense now
The end of the shaft with the holes in it, had been hit and burred over I thought maybe thats why it would go thru
but the shaft does not push all the way thru but the bolt and shaft come out opposite ways
thanks again
