Default Both front lamps on low lights

Hello
I live in Sweden and for a time period here it was not allowed to have 2 (front) lamps on low lights. (it is legal now).
Now I wonder if anyone knows if it is possible to reconnect the electric cables somehow to have 2 lamps on low lights and not just on full-lights.
Also I wonder if the glass in the headlight is prepared for that.

Regards

On mine CBR 1000 F it was only to put in a H4-lamp in the empty socket and connect the other cable that was parked in the front cowl.

Hi,
The glass should be fine. In the UK, most people ride with their headlights on, (as do I) and both are on, it is designed this way.

I took out the Honda 45/45 watt bulbs and put in 55/60 watt bulbs. And I run on high beam all the time. The glass is fine.

Thank you for your reply.
There is no empty socket in my headlight, there are the same lamps in boths sockets it´s just that its only on high beam that both lamps are working.
On low light, it´s only the left.
Therefore I think it must be something with the cables.

Edit:
Hmm I see that you are from Sweden to.
What year was your bike made?

Hi there Boras !

My bike is a -92 CBR 1000 F with 100 000 km on the odo. I'm really inpressed of the power and stability for an older bike like this. Tt is used to and back from work, about 50 km distance every day.

To original asker:
I've got the same problem, I would like to have both of them burning on low lights.

Yesterday I disconnected those sockets from bulbs and checked the wirings.
There is green, blue/black, white/black on left side and green, blue/black on the right side.
There seemed to be no wire parked anywhere, so it is meant to be that way.

Of course you could just split that white/black wire, but there is only 10A fuse for low lights.
It is just on the limit for 2 x 55/60W bulbs. If you replace it with 15A / 20A fuse, it should be OK,
but I don't know if that wire can stand it. I haven't checked wiring diagrams yet if one wants to
install a new wire.

Hello
Since I asked this question from the first time I have found out that the glass really is different so you can not make this modifikation.
It was changed on later bikes.
I suppose you have a older one like me?
