take off the fairing that covers your petcock and fuel pump on the left side. Then disconect the TOP hose running to it. the top hose flows from the tank to the pump, and the bottom one flows from the pump to your carbs. drain into a bucket though cause belive me, that gas will spread and make a big *** mess. i know, i did it. lol. also, it will take a while for it to drain completly but just keep an eye on it for when you need to change buckets (if its full). i would also have a towel on hand just incase it leaks on any parts of your bike that you dont want it to.

Hello
I think this instructions is only valid for 1987-1988 models. From 1989 forward? there is a vacuum controlled fuel tap.
Sorry but I dont know how to do it except creating a vacuum in the small hose in any way.
