I'm with Trips, what ever you choose, go with a jell or a sealed battery. The sealed ones have very little evaporation loss and last much longer. It gets very hot under that saddle.

As far as how your bike is running, the corn in the fuel these days is killing tractability.
The carbs are gumming up with corn deposits. You can run some injection cleaner through the bike, I do when my bike starts to stutter when launching. Seafoam is basically a deposit cleaner and should work for that.

 

Fantastic guys! I purchased two bottles of Sea Foam and placed some in a fresh tank of BP Ultra Premium fuel this afternoon. I'll try to put 100 miles or so on the old girl this weekend and try to run this new fuel with the Sea Foam through the system. I'll repeat the process and hopefully that will clear up some of my problems. Thanks!!!
