Default ya know .........think you nailed it

Hawkman ..........I'm thinking you are on the money, I had the forks
done 3 weeks ago and now that I think about that, where one side was
leaking and all, I'm betting one side, that side (right), is bad like you just
said ...........front end chit makes me super cautious especially, I
don't want to sound like a broken 33, when doing subsonic rides to
work on the big slab.......know what I mean

Nothin' on stuck in the brakes dpasch

Sprocket did you check your chain for "tight spots" - ?
The specs may be right in one place but as a chain ages they get slacker in some places than other, and you may have adjusted it at a "slack point" and now it's too tight elsewhere................?
I have made this mistake..........................made a whirring noise.
Change the front bearings anyway, and when you do, put the new ones in the freezer overnight in a plastic bag before you fit them, then they'll drop in...................

There is one more thing that I would check before I started pulling things apart. I believe your bike has the speedometer drive coming off the front wheel (not like the later ones that come off the front sprocket). I would pull the speedo cable and take it for a ride just to rule that out.

I recently replaced the bearings on a used front wheel that I rebuilt. I got a bearing removal tool by Motion Pro from Bike Bandit.com. Made the job quick and easy. Yes, put those bearings in the freezer over night.

Went to town hall for a short spin ( Lid off yeah I know )
