Default Aussie Johnno's Rebuild

All,

Back from my 16 hour drive to canberra, unloaded the trailer this morning.
This is what you get for $700.00 Aussie dollars.

Now the work begins, i suppose i will have to strip everything off the engine to get it out of the frame. Once out i will pop the cover to have a look at the cams, check clearances, turn it over by hand to feel all is well.

And i have to tell you the misses came out and had a look this morning and she suggested i take a week off work to complete the project.

If you all want lot's of photos i am going to need help in uploading, rather than looking at thumbnails all the time (CBRclassic where are you)

Neither of you is an idiot - just dedicated to one of the best road machines Honda ever built. Power to you both................
You'll make money on the spares leftover Johnno - I wouldn't be surprised if you ended up getting the engine free....

Day One,

Dropped the engine out of the donor bike, rotated the engine by hand and all seemed well.
Dropped the engine out of my bike, had a cup of tea.

I am now at the stage with the donor engine under my bike ready to be lifted and bolted in.

Bloody hard work by yourself, these engine are real heavy.

Picture is my engine out, donor engine ready

Day 2.

Not much work today i'm afraid, had a funeral to attend.
I did manage to get the donor engine bolted up, and ready to connect everything up tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about the funeral. Good work getting the engine back in alone. They really are pretty damn heavy.
