Good to see you back, Dave !
Buy the bike off the insurers, and pick up a good frame on e-Bay for about 30 quid, and a swingarm and other stuff for about 100, and you'll be back in business, and have made a tidy profit ! I'd still sue the guy as mentioned before, though - these injuries have a habit of hurting you a few years down the road.......

Cheers Pete

I have already spoken to a solicitor. I will sue him for all I can get. Injuries, loss of leathers, helmet, luggage etc.
I will buy the bike of the insurers for salvage value and rebuild her all I need is time and the space to do it.
Whether I am not too psychologically damaged to ride again remains to be seen

I think the guy is in serious trouble, probably looking at a 12 month ban for driving without due care, dangerous diving and leaving the scene of an accident. He may also lose the car as well. It is on the motabillity scheme bought to ferry a disabled person around - in his case an elderly relative. I'm not too sure on the rules but I don't think it is supposed to be used for anyother purpose. Maybe somebody can enlighten me.
How would I stand legally if I posted his registration number on every bike forum I can find to warn people to look out for the ****.

It would be libellous UNTIL proven in court - after that, I'm almost sure you could post details of the case on the Forums - you can't be sued for the truth...........hell, guys have advertised their wife's infidelities on e-Bay....he he.(and put them up for sale) he he
As for psychological damage, it can be as real as a physical injury. Don't ride anything until the case is over, and you've been paid, then wear a smoked visor - insurance companies love to dispute claims based on video evidence (especially in the US) Don't pick up heavy weights, etc etc.
It doesn't stop you from rebuilding the bike, though.
I can't help on the legality of using the people carrier - don't know the rules on that one, sorry mate.
Give us a list and some pics, let's see what we can find to get the old lady running again. I owe you some parts anyway, in exchange for the clocks......
Let us know, mate, and we'll start searching........
Here's a frame and V5 for starters:

My mum has a disabilty car and yeah they can only be used for the person who is disabled - BUT you can just say you were going to pick up / had dropped them off and you would be fine.
I wouldnt press this point though as if he gets found to be using it for other purpoeses then he has no insurance - which may make life more difficult for you money wise.

Nice to see your back up and fighting by the way [sm=smiley20.gif]
