96 CBR1000f Jet Kit?

I am loking to jet my bike up...the thing I keep running into is most sites list kits up to 95, but not 96 what is the diffrence? will a kit for a 95 work or is the 96 a diffrent animal?

I have a Vance and Hines 4 into 1 headpipe and a Yosi slip on with a K&N in the stock filter box...so I would guess its lean.

Thanks Glen

BTW if you know of a good place to get a kit at a good price I could use it.

It should be the same kit, they were the same engine until 1997.

I can't find a difference listed in my factory service Manuel.. Its strange the jet kit list the same from 93-99 1000 ,but they skip the 96 model.... [sm=dontgetit.gif]

If everyone else is confident enough that they are the same I will order it...

I had the same thing with my Jet kit and it works fine in my 1996 model.

Trips, what a jet kit worth in Aus?

Forget buying them in Aus unless you need them to fit & dyno it as they are over priced.

I got mine from Ebay for $89.00 US. With the aussie Dollar at record highs its cheaper to buy them from the US.

I am not sure if its true or not, but I heardsomewhere once that the Factry Pro needles are better profile than Dynojet.

I do know they have nice trick titanium ones.

I think it was something about the Dynojet needles being made of a material that would become distorted after several thousands poundings into the needle jet.

The titanium needles wear out the emulsion tubes. Not a good idea to use them.

I have just rejetted my cbr. it an 89 1000 f k. I have K&N pods and no airbox, custom 4 into1 exhaust with shorty can. original jets were 120 and i have gone up to 145. i also put a SMALL washer under the needle. on the dyno the a/f is a fairly even 13:1 and 100hp at the rear wheel out of a bike that has never been apart. good comrsreeion at 150psi even and uses about 500ml of oil every 7 to 8000km.
All the parts came from a wrecker as heaps of honda models have the same kehin carbies and the washers were spares in my workshop. total cost of parts was $28. three dyno runs cost $100 for an a/f printout only, plus a hp reading at the final run. Dyno jet kits were $130 and a six week wait! I have also heard that the spring is too weak and the slides "flutter" and make it hard to tune evenly. (only what i've hear not from personal experience)
I really should do that cam chain and tensioner!!

#145 jets sounds far to much. If that was to be working OK the bike would deliver much more power than stock, not less as now with 100 hp. Or, was the bike dynoed on a eddy current typedyno like Factorypro EC997, that reads about 15% less than a Dynojet bench?
