You would have made a good test pilot, but I can understand your reservations. Someone else will have to be the guinea pig....it would be interesting to see how they perform.

The Electrex RR23 came in the mail today. Yippe! I have to wire in the new harness plug. Question: There are 3 yellow wires. Does it matter how I match yellow to yellow?

Thanks flatblack! As much as I would love to wire it in today, I cant. Gotta take step son atv and dirt bike riding. Then later, my brother will be in town from Ohio.

I'm getting all queasy thinking about these R/R's again. They seam to fail in bunches. It takes about a year without hearing about one failing and then the problem flares up again. In the spring I plan on replacing mine because of all this talk of R/R's failing and leaving you stranded in places where you can get raped. It scare the hell out of me.

Trout can leave his stock but I don't want to be left in a bad place.

I think page #2 in the how to section covers R/R's.

After mine went out I realize how important it is to have a good one. Things could have been a lot worse when I broke down, but it made me see the light! I should ask Santa for one for Christmas so I can have an extra one on stand by. LOL

Ok, I managed some time to wire the new unit wired in this morning. I hit myself in the mouth with the wire strippers and scared the crap out of me that I may have broke a tooth, but I'm ok. Now I have to go find some 8mm bolts that are long enough to bolt it on. I'm eager to fire my bike back up and make sure everything is working ok!
