Default 88 Swing arm on a 96

Ok i'm sure this has been asked befor and I have looked and really haven't found much. I'm putting a 88 Swing arm on a 96 Cbr 1000F The bolts for the 88 and 96 are the same for mounting, All I would like to know if someone has the answer is do I need to use the wheels off of a 88 swing arm or can I use my 96 wheels on the 88 swing. Thanks

Hi mate if this helps I fitted a rear wheel from a 95 model to a 88 and all I had to do was use the spacers from the 95 and move and re weld the front mounting for the brake anchor out a bit on the swing arm to clear the tyre. The brakes and every thing else fitted no problem. Hope this helps you with your quest
