88 CBR10000F fork oil and coolant volume
Hey everyone,
I'm working on fixing up my uncle's 1988 CBR1000F Hurricane. The poor girl has sat idle for nine years and needs some TLC.
Could anyone with a Honda service manual please verify for me the amount of fork oil and coolant are required?
My Haynes shows the rigth leg needs 16.4 fl oz and theleft legneeds 16.7 fl oz.(Oil level 5.8").Coolant shows3.2 QT.
I've never seen a bike that required different volumes of fluid so I want to verify this with a Honda manual.
Thanks!
Tom O.
(p.s. if anyone has an electronic copy of the factory service manual I would love to take a peek)

RE: 88 CBR10000F fork oil and coolant volume
The Haynes manual calls for 485 cc and 495 cc for the right and left forks respectively in the 87-88 1000's. The different volumes may have something to do with the anti-dive valve which resides on the left fork only- the later 1000's don't have this, and thus take thesame volumes of fluid in eack fork. Note that Haynes calls for different volume in each fork for the early 600's, which also have the anti dive on the leftside only.
