30 AMP Fuse
OK here is where I show my newbieness... I think I already know the answer to this. What is the 30AMP fuse that sits on the battery cover used for. I know where it goes, but I think I heard it "clicking" when I started my old girl today with the seat off. Never heard it before. I assume its the infamous "main fuse"? I was gonna look it up in my shop manual but got real lazy.
Hey its Saturday...

The starter relay is right next to the Main 30A fuse. I'm sure that's what you heard clicking. The fuse is the last line of defense for an electrical short for everything on the bike except the Starter Motor. If the starter relay got stuck, the fuse would not stop power from going to the starter.

Thanks Dirt,
Makes sense to be it off to the right there. I've started her 1000 times before without the seat on, but NEVER heard it click. That's why it really caught my attention. It was REAL subtle but grabbed my ear like never before... Must of had my "wife hearing" in the off position today. Thanks again.
