Default 1990 CBR1000F Lower Engine Case

Howdy All! I'm a new member and glad to be a part of this great "CBR Till I Die" team! I also write coz I'm tired of unsuccesfully looking for parts for the CBR1000f on the net. I need a lower engine case for the bike as mine cracked after a "Stunt Driver" rammed his mitsubishi into my bike. Does anyone have a stripped bike? Or know where there is an idle crank case?

Many thanks !!

Charlie

Bad news cowino. The item that you are after only comes as a matching pair as they are machined to fit. So even if you get the lower case, it wont fit correctly. So try and find a replacement pair. Both the top and bottom will have the same engine number stamped into them. Good luck Please see enclosed pics of where the two halves join...........

Depending of the damage, it can perhaps be welded or even farmer-repaired (reinforce with steel sheet metal and seal with engine silicone in between) to save work and money. In case the oil plug section is damaged it can be repaired with an insert thread and chemical metal to fill any gaps.
