My pet **** is leaking, I have 2 questions

1. I have looked at it it is riveted together, has anyone ever ground off those rivets and taken it apart?

2. Where can I get one. I have gone to the site a stie the has microfishe for the part number but can't find it any where on the net.

Thanks I live this bike, I need hight way pegs to strech my legs any body have an ideals, there is no frame in the fron to attach anything. I communte on this bike a about an hour each way and when I ge to work it vey painful for my knees I have to sit on the bike for about 2 mins and feel the pain until I can get off..

I ordered mine from the Honda dealership a few months back, guy told me there were like 5 left in the world. Good luck, get it now while you still can.

 

Ya i took the petcock apart once and tried to make up a new rubber washer for it, didn't work the best. it didn't leak out the petcock but the reserve leaked past. is there silicon that is gas proof? if so you could try that route. i ended up findin a whole tank on ebay for 100 bucks. i think i priced a petcock from honda for about that much.

 

Hey Losi,how badly does your petcock leaks? I recently started smelling gas all the time in my garage and my daughter who lives right next to my garage complained about it. I check the whole fuel line and found out that petcock was leaking. I also learned how HONDA badly designed the petcock. I have 1978 CB750 too, but some older model, you can disassemble the petcock and replace the gaskets. CBR1000F? noway... In my case, left side rivet was not holding the chromed face plate. So, I held the face plate with the vise pliers and re-tie the rivet. It is working right now. I am thinking I will make a little hole through the unit and use small bolts and nuts to tight the face plate if it will leak again. I think the rivets are not tight enough.
