If it's getting air it is not getting fuel. If the high speed jets are plugged it would idle fine but if the high speed jets are plugged you will not have power. Try dumping some injector cleaner in the tank and riding it for an hour or two and then let it sit over night. The cleaner may loosen up the deposits that may be fowling the jets.
The older ones also have a fuel pump that can fail. Are you getting fuel pressure?

ok first off whats your setup? like after market exhaust...no exhaust?, how long have you been having this problem, does it have a jet kit in it? if it does what does it have...what i want you to do it start the bike and try to drive for a few mins...even if its boggy...now thate it home haul all the plugs...are they wet, dry, what do they look like for color...this will give us a good idea on what you need to do
