Unusual brake rotors

a couple auctions popped up on my ebay suggestions with different rotor designs, wonder if anyone has seen/used anything like these (they're china specials)

Honda Rear Disc Brake Rotor CBR 929 954 RR 2000 01 02 2003 CBR1000RR 2004 2013 | eBay

220mm Rear Honda Brake Disc Rotor CBR RR 600 900 929 954 1000 VTR SP1 SP2 RC51 | eBay

to me they look odd simply for the purpose of looking odd -- seems like the designs would be less than ideal.

Yes like these:

Honda

I've been wanting to order a pair for my front but I'm also hesitant about the designs.

I've used similar on the CBR1000F

with no problems and also a Kawasaki GTR1000

For about 30,000 km now. And the GTR is no lightweight. With the 4 spot upgrade it's 2 finger braking! :D

Cheers, SB

I seem to recall that one of our members designed a set of discs for his bike, and did a huge amount of research on them before fitting them. It's not something I'd want to tinker with - it's your main stopping power and any failure there could be fatal.
My concern is whether the manufacturers make them for BLING or whether they have been put to the test...?

But I do like those 4 pot calipers, Bear.
