Touring mode

Are there any type of racks available to mount behind the bike for tent, sleeping bag, etc. I am going from a ZX-14 couch to a CBR and I just realized my touring might be a little more difficult. Any input will be appreciated.

The 14 was nice and was really nice on long trips. 1st of all no track days on the 14 and we primarily ride mountain twisties and although I was more than adequate corner entry speed was much lower and the front end of the 14 was terribly heavy and pushed from time to time regardless of tire selections. Put a 100 lb barbell on your clip on's and that was how the 14 felt.

Then you asked why not a 08 or 09 instaed of a 06? Honestly I dislike them all except the Buell 1125 which in a year and a half will prob be my next bike (I have a 2 year turnaround on bikes).

Soft bags anyone?? Bueller...Beuller...

This will probably be my answer.

I also found a wesite that you remove the pillion pad and mount this flat rack sort of thing. Very inexpensive and 17" wide but the tail flair is still about an inch on either side which will prevent the soft bags from laying flush.

Maybe some mod can be made.
