Site for aftermarket seat covers?

I just bought an ebay fairing kit for my F2 and really want to find a seat cover to go along with it. I've done a good bit of looking around and can't seem to find anything. Anyone have a link?

There really wasn't any type of seat cover made until the f4 and later models. Pretty much anything made in the 90's such as the f2, f3, etc. doesn't have any type of seat cover unless someone made it at home. Thats one reason why alotta people do the f4i fairings conversion to the f2's and f3's other then the aesthetics value of changing the fairings. Best of luck and If you happen to find one somewhere PM me. I've got an f3 and I think that a seat cover would be a nice addition.

P.S. I'm not 100% but I do believe that in order to have a seat cover you gotta have a 2 piece seat. A single piece seat such as the stock seats on the f2's and f3's won't be applicable.

I don't know of any rear seat cover for the F2. There were a couple places that made a rear cover for the F3. One just recently, within the last month stopped selling them. I was just about ready to pull the trigger on one.

There is hope. I plan on making my own out of fiberglass during my spring break. I got this idea from another forum (I don't want to get in trouble putting up their site so I'll try to put up pics). This guy made a cover just for the seat, I plan on making one that will cover the whole tail like the Targa piece (just stopped selling them).

started like this:
He took off his seat and covered it in plastic. Then took a dish cloth and laid it over the seat and made it the shape and position he wanted. He used fiberglass resin to harden it. I think he put more fiberglass over it and then used bondo and then finished it, sanding, primer, paint, etc.

Towel with resin:

Just do some google searching for DIY seat cowl or DIY rear seat cover. There are a few different bike forums that have guys that make their own with decent success.

@Footnfool If you can find a write up or tutorial on how I would be able to do that, that would be AWESOME! Lol.

Or post the link to that other forum or pm it to me as well. :)

Google is your friend guys. :icon_wink:

I'm going to try and get the whole tail and still have it removable. I'd like to get a small speed hump for a little more aggressive look.
