Not sure where to post this, but has anyone ever ran a camera through a dark smoke windscreen before? Does it work or is it too dark?

 

Sorry cannot answer your question but as a warning would like to share what happened in the UK when a blade rider videoed hi shighest speed run........ The camera tape was seized as evidence and used at his prosecution...... now that has got to hurt

 

I've been wondering the same thing. I still have my stock clear screen and haven't bought a camera mount either. Was wanting to get a smoke screen and have been looking to see what other options I have besides the tank mount for the camera. I may go with the helmet cam just because I want the smoke screen more than I want to make movies! ha ha!

I'd still be interested to know if the camera shoots OK through a smoke screen. Any one tried this?

 

I shoot mine through a light smoke ZeroGravity double bubble. It comes out very clear. I can't say if you could shoot through a dark smoke, though.

 

Just put the camera on there and look at the view finder to see if it shows up of not.
