Flush mount turn signals
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT I bought a set of these, and was just wondering if anybody has gotten some similar to them before. If so are they hard to wire and install?

RE: Flush mount turn signals
As far as ease of installation they shouldn't be harder then any other after market light but they are generic in designed to fit "any bike".
Gregg's and the one by Watsen Design are designed to fit in the recessed area of the CBR fairing. I tried to get a set of Watsen's but they are in a deep back order. They have a warning on their web site that if you email them ordering a set they will email you back telling you when they are ready to ship before they charge you. After about three weeks I got tired of waiting and ordered a set of Gregg's.
Anyone one else receive a set of the Watsen's lately?

RE: Flush mount turn signals
I was looking last night, and on the stock turn signal, there is three wires on each turn signal. My question is do i just leave the one wire that goes to the single clip open? Also, do i just cut and splice the new turn signal wires into the clip? I'm probably not going into enough detail, but i'm just curious.

You need a volt meter to determine which wire is the marker light (it'll be the one with 12V when the ignition is on). You won't need this wire anymore. What I did was cut the connector off the stock light with as much wire as possible then soldered and shrink wrapped the flushmount wires to it. That'll allow you to remove the panel in the future by unhooking it like stock.

Well i started hooking these lights up today, and i found the 12V wire, and cut it, then hooked up the new wires on the turn signal, and it blinked fine, then it just quit, and now my guage doesnt work, and whatever else. Sounds like a blown fuse or something, but any help is greatly appreciated.

Yep I received the Watsens. My bike is on the website, the repsol on the bottom. I ordered the signals in early Feb. and took the pic the day I received them and installed. I took a bit longer than usual cuase I had to send him a piece of cowl for him to color match the signals. Worth the wait, they look sweet!
