Default Converting a 900RR to electric

I'll try to post occasional updates, but here's a start. I got a great price on a "carcass" with a title. Chose this model for light weight, and plenty of space for batteries. I'm not expecting miracles. I only live 4 miles from work, and the highest speed limit along the way is 50 mph, so if I can get 20 miles and 60 mph, I'll be happy. Preliminary calculations show that this will cut ~100 lb from the original curb weight.

..aaand here it is three weeks later. It had been sitting for about a decade. I assume the engine blew up, because there was a sludge layer of engine oil on just about everything. One can of mineral spirits and about 7 rags later, I now have this (the cardboard boxes are simulators for the batteries I'm hoping to use). Everything fits, with plenty of room under the tank (once I cut the bottom out) for motor controller and battery management system.
