Vortex or Woodcraft sliders

I have a 2006 cbr 600 rr and i need frame sliders. I narrowed it down to 2 vortex or woodcraft. I don't race and am a casual driver and rip here and there. Only street riding. I want what is easiest to put together on the bike. I am buying the sliders for an instance if someone was sitting on the bike and it fell over or if the wind were to blow it over, not in a racing instance. Let me know what ones to purchase. Like i said want the easy ones to install and i am aware i need to drill into the fairings.

They both are very similar as far as installation. I personally like Woodcraft, I've had good experience with fast shipping and quality workmanship. I have Vortex on my 954, like them also, but am partial to Woodcraft (have their rearsets also).

thanks for the help.

1. are they the same size or do the vortex stick out a tad longer.
2. For instalation, is it fairly easy besides cutting into my fairings. Is it just swapping engine mount screws pretty much.
3. I herd something about one guy having troubles with his heat shield or something or other on the left side of his bike. Are there certain sliders that can cause issues or are hard to put on.

1. The real difference is that the Woodcraft are solid and the Vortex hollow. The Woodcraft have a bolt that goes through the mounting bolt and puck through the side. The Vortx attach through the center of the puck, they have two model - "shorty" which is similar to a Woodcraft, and "standard", which is 3/4" longer. I posted a pic of my bike in another thread with the Woodcrafts, did you see it?
2. Make a perfect hole, swap bolts. There are several techniques for making the holes, lasers, play-dough, marker, etc. Several "How To's" on this site.
3. Never ran into that. Have helped a buddy with an '06 and don't remember any issues.
