Very custom, that's for sure. How do you like that exhaust?

Looks pretty cool. Took my fairings off for the first time today and thought the bike would be a good street fighter with how big the engine looks.

BTW, front tire pressure looks low. Super low, like it might be at 0 psi.

i second the front fender. also, lower the front end a bit.

i have an f3 streetfighter, i rode mine without the front fender for a bit, but anytime it's wet, you won't be able to see, also you'll be soaked with nasty water from the road
shorten your exhaust as well, that's an easy job and it makes a huge difference, both cosmetically and for sound.

nickels 06-22-2009 12:56 PM

looks like you raised the front end instead of using spacers for the risers on the dirt bike bars...

Hell yeah man! I love fighters. You should paint the whole frame, even the engine a splattered blood theme liek that front wheel. Looks liek you've been riding through a trail of the dead. Good times!

Conrice 07-02-2009 11:31 AM

paddy, i hate to be a downer, but why did you take the front brakes off? thats the majority of your stopping power. and then look at your rear rotor! i dont know if that can even be resurfaced! its custom, but damn, i dont think its fit for riding at all, not with the braking situation.

cajun's bike is sweet though, i love that.

Thanks man, bike has a long future ahead of it. Slowly hiding the wiring harness, ram air tubes, etc.

ya man, i tried to make my F3 a fighter, i never really could make all the wiring harness disappear and everything. Looked nothing like your bike (which is a GOOD thing for you, mine was hideous...hahaha). its lookin' good though. love the scheme. i hope you get pics when you have the wiring harness all gone, and ram air too

gotta drop the motor and hide the wiring under the tank. Heres mine with the 3 wires for the headlight ran to the front just to give you an idea. I put the fuse box by the over flow cap.

what exactly is the purpose of a "street fighter" i think they are ugly imho

cajunlowrida 07-20-2009 02:20 PM

There is no purpose per say. But maybe you shouldnt base your opinion on just what you've seen here. Typically, people (like myself) wreck their bikes and the frame and hard parts are salvagable but the fairings are beyond repair. So, instead of spending money to replace the fairings, less can be spent on a new headlight, dirtbike bars, etc. Many people are content with simply getting the bike running and not necessarily looking good, while others make their own customs. http://www.customfighters.com/

its a different look and better power to weight ratio :icon_bike: those were my reasons on the f2 and i hated the way it looked stock. I've came to appreciate the the stock look now though.

Streetfighters have unofficially been aroudn since the Cafe Racer days of the 70s, in which extraneous parts are ditched in favor of lightness/speed. They are VERY hard to make look good, but there are some seriously bad ass ones out there. I believe there's one in the running for Ride of the Month, actually.

johnnyx 07-22-2009 03:49 PM

Nope. Maybe it was last month? Anyone know? It was the crazy one with all the spikes. I like that post-apocalyptic "Bloodrunners" style.

cajunlowrida 07-22-2009 05:22 PM

Its in the F2 forum

CB750 07-23-2009 10:08 PM

What did you o to get the handlebars on, or is that stock? I saw a kit somewhere but it was $600 IIRC.
