Messed up events today with my F3

I have been trying to fix my leaking stator cover. Yesterday I drained the oil and took the stator off and cleaned it. I left my bike in the parking garage where it has always been parked for a while. My stator cover was hanging on the gear shifter and there was a rag covering the engine and the stator. When I came out to the bike today the stator was gone. Nowhere to be found just up and vanished.

So now I need a new stator cover, stator, and hardware. I looked at the oem stator and its 400.00 bucks alone at bikebandit. I looked at the ebay stators and they are around 140.00 bucks. Has anyone had any luck with the ebay stators?

I can't figure out why someone would steal it. Maybe for the copper that is in it but its such a small amount. I live in south korea and scrap is big deal over here. I the past I had people walk into the yard of the place I was renting and take my F3 and R1 plastics. To use thoughs things are expensive but they would only gotten a few bucks for them at the scrap yard. The bike is like fourteen years old and not alot of F3/F2 in south korea. Had to be for scrap.

I can't wait to come home and I will make sure my bike is stored in my garage and not in a parking garage and I will be packing some artillery if the burglar alarm goes off.

That is certainly messed up, man.
Maybe you can cruise the streets and find info about the stator black market. :D

Don't mean to make light of it, though. I know I'd be pizzed off.

I wish I had a bike when I was in SK, all I had to drive was a scooter that year!

I didn't even get that since I was an E4P, they only allow E7 and above to have vehicles now. On post that is anyways which is where I was stuck.

Damn Koreans will be able to eat for a weak after they salvage the copper!

thrasher572 06-20-2010 05:51 AM

That was the last component the North Koreans needed to complete the bomb...DOOOOH!

Thrasher,
Now that made me laugh thanks alot. I have new parts on the way from bike bandit. Whoever took the stator must of had small hand to reach under the set and disconnet the connector.
