Default F4 w/ YZF600R R/R

So i've been reading up on the f4 r/r problems and figured better to get rid of it than wait to be dead on the road right? Dang skippy, so I surfed ebay to get a look at any 5 pin r/r's I could and came across the yzf600r. I have a yzf600r too so I ran out to check the connections. Its a 5 pin mosfet style 3 whites in, red for pos, black for neg. Seems a pretty straight forward swap and these things are mounted right behind the cylinder head-Hot!-and it works great. Ebay has em' for $10-$30 so half the price of a gsxr unit. As far as I can tell the yzf600r was unchanged 95 thru 07 save for bodywork (97'-07') and cartridge fork suspension (96) so any year should work. Cheers

The orig F4 R/R has been superseded w/ the new factory upgraded finned unit. Its a great unit. Look thru the threads in the F4 section & you'll find quite a bit of info on this.

Thanx gotcbr, I did read thru quite a few posts and the how to's for the gsxr and r1 r/r swap before commiting. I wanted to share because its a cheap alternative to new oem or aftermarket. I can not bring myself to trust honda on either reg/rec or cct's lol
