Talking F2 to F4i swingarm swap help

Hey guys, My name is Dana. I am new to the forum. I have been searching and searching for a write up on a F4i swingarm and suspension swapped into a f2. If anyone can help that would be great. I just got a 1992 f2 for cheap that needs a little repair and no plastic. I am searching for the most popular mods and getting a wider tire and stiffer suspention. Im 5'11 and 200 lbs. The bike sags alot when i sit on it. Thank you guys for the read and any help/advice you can give.

Well, I found some threads about the 600rr swinger and the vfr single sided swingarm but no how to's and descriptions were pretty rough. It seems the vfr SSSA is the easiest route but major $$$$. I would just get an f4/f4i swingarm from ebay to see if you can make it work. If not you can always resell it.

Why do you want an F4i swinger? just for the wider tire?

do the vfr swinger. that's what i'm doing this summer. totally worth it. But a f4i swinger should bolt up with minor fab work and cutting. Pretty easy project. Good luck!

Yes, wider tire and taller tail. I found out the f4i swinger is only 3/8" wider at the frame mount then the f2. I can make this work. I will post pics of before and after when I do it. Thanks for the responded.

So I'm in the middle of trying this did front and rear from 02 f4i to my 92 f2. It's been a nightmare to say the least.

Why nightmare? Measure twice, cut once.
Post your diagram.

Here's what it took to mount F3 rear wheel on my VFR.

Can do same thing and put F4i rear-wheel into F2 swingarm.

I was wanting the swingarm brakes and all off f4i due to better quality less weight etc. I can't list all the things not right with out pulling the bike out and looking it was just poorly executed and cost me time and likely the bike which was my uncle's who passed on his other bike 2 summers ago due to duii. It's hard to talk about but thank u info is helpful. Knowledge is power and all that
