Hey everyone!

I just purchased a Hotbodies SBK Undertail kit for my 2005 CBR600RR. The instructions are a little vague. It is a single piece of paper with four pictures.

I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience or advice on the installation of this product.

The previous bike owner installed a Jardine slip-on and threw away the complete fender. It looks like all the wiring runs into the brake light that is mounted in the tip of the tail.

 

Hey I just installed the Hotbodies undertail on my 06 600rr. You have to take off the front seat & the black applique underneath the front seat. Prop up the tailsection so you can disconnect the taillight from the harness. Once you disconnect the taillight, take off the tailsection. Put the undertail & tailsection together then mark on the tailsection were you need to drill the holes to screw it together. Wire up your positive & negative lines to bike wiring harness & put it all together. It took me about an hour to do. Let me know how yours turn out

 

Thanks for the reply. Since my original post I have made one attempt to install my Hotbodies undertail. My problem lies in the actual fit of the undertail itself. It bows out about 3/4 of an inch below the brake light. I was so frustrated and disappointed that I set it aside for the time being. I have been considering having another go at it. But I really don't want to have to modify the undertail in order to get it to fit securely. I spent $200 bucks on that thing hoping it was going to mount flush. I emailed Hotbodies and have not gotten a response.

Did you have any problems with the fit at all? How are the turn signals? Bright?
