To those who lowered their bikes...

So after reading up on the pros and cons of lowering the bike, I've still decided to lower it 2". I'm 5'4" (I know, ridiculously short). I do sneak a cheek it but I would still like to have more control. My question is; when lowering it, how much should I cut out of the kickstand? I don't wanna buy an adjustable one. My bike is 2006 cbr600rr

Careful in corners please...

And I would not recommend cutting your kickstand. IF you put money into lowering it, do it right.

Setup you suspension for the lower, buy new kick stand, and so on so fourth.

Do it right :]

Mines is dropped and stretched and cornering is a big no no.... Believe me I know....better just to adjust your suspension prior to dropping.... If not suffice to your height and control then consider dropping it the correct way. I can't lean into my cornering with out having the rear slide out from under me.

You can corner the bike fine even when lowering it. Just need to set it up right. (stretching is different again) I have no chicken strips on my tires and I dropped mine 1.25 inches.

Wow this is a fairly old post. Haha. I actually decided against lowering it. I am not comfortable with the stock height. I sneak a cheek and it works just fine. Thanks though guys.
