RE: Suspension setting
These are baselines for any bike:
Track 20-25mm sag, road 30-35mm Then set rebound for 1 rebound over top and immediate settle, then compression to get 2/3 travel under braking. |
RE: Suspension setting
This is a much debated topic, as suspension settings have a lot to do with rider skill, weight, preference, and desired street-ability of the bike. I am currently doing the research on this as well, and there is no 'standard' setting. Just have to adjust it, ride it, adjust it, ride it.. etc.... throw it into google, lots of good stuff comes up... here is what I found on it however
http://www.sportbikes.ws/showthread....532#post199532 http://www.kgrant.co.uk/Per_Handling2.htm I also found a site, that I lost, that has all the settings that sportrider magazine uses when they test bikes.... I think that would be a good place to start, and then adjust from there on pref. Google it. |
