Default Sprockets

I am wanting to change my sprockets so that i can wheelie easier but i had a question.....I wanna know how much i should go up or down if i want to do good wheelies, but i dont want to worry about it coming up when i change gears..I apologize if this is a stupid question but i really have no clue when it comes to the sprockets and all that up or down, how many teeth, this and that... i have no idea...

Well to get you a bit more torque without rippin it up everytime you ride hard, go with a Down 1 in front and an Up 2 in the rear.

This will give you noticeable torque.

Dont flip the bike on yourself man. Get used to that extra power before you go rippin it up there.

I can pull it up kind of..... people have told me to preload the forks and kind of bounce it up but for some reason i just cant get it to work....and i have tried popping the clutch but that just seems too fast...it just lunges itself into the air and i dont feel like im in control.....so i want something that is smooth and easy. Is that the down 1 up 2??

In the pic i just popped the clutch and it threw itself up long enough to snap a pic but its not a very good one if you were there to see the whole thing lol!

On my '03 RR i went down one in the front, up 2 in the back. I used to do my standup wheelies in 2nd gear at ~75mph, now i bring it up in third at 60mph. That's bouncing it, not clutching it. I can clutch it in second....if i'm sitting down i clutch it when i'm at about 8000rpms---i'm not a big fan of clutching either, seems alot jumpier than other bikes i've ridden. I believe part of this stems from the drastic difference in power between the lower and higher rpms.

Also, something i've came to notice. My buddy clutches his R6 every time, and rides them to the moon in second. The R6 comes stock with a 48-tooth rear sprocket, whereas the RR comes stock with a 43. +2 put me at 45 teeth, but still not as much as his R6. It's gonna be different no matter what you ride. LOL you really wanna do some wheelies? Go get a vtwin (like an SV650 or 1000) that's got alot of torque down low.

yo mang...soften up your front forks this way you can bounce it up easier. preload just sets the height and doesn't really do much in terms of stiffness. then time it right...
when i was stock on the F4i...i can get it up every time via bouncing...then i went -1 and it was even better...then i got my forks redone and stiff as heck for the track...so now it's harder to get it up and high....but who cares...my sick of busting up mah fork seals.

IMO, -1 is enough...and as far as clutching it...it's easier to get up to a consistent height once you have your timing down...because each time you pop the clutch with the same gas and at the same RPM, the bike will get up to the same height...so you get to a set height and that's it...where as bouncing it, unless you practice lots not so consistent...but both will loop big time so be careful and cover that rear brake!

Ive got a full exhaust, Mapped PCIII USB, K&N air filter and sprockets on mine and I cant bounce it up in third gear, it has to be clutched.

Now I know RR's are "supposed" to be faster than F4i's but with my setup, i have spanked them before.
Im not sayin your lieing but 60mph in third with no clutch. Sounds kinda farce.

yes, you can adjust your suspension yourself. on the top of the forks and at the bottom. clockwise stiff, counter softer...don't mess with the preload.
yo...get this mang...f4i vs. new R6...rider on F4i is better than the R6...he ate up the turns...but in the straights...r6 took off and led by twenty something bike lengths! damn!!!
then my boy ate up the turns and wheeled him in but was stuffed in and couldn't get around...

I'm -1 tooth in the front. Sit downs and standups in 2nd no problem... Stand up clutchies in 3rd... no problem. Even when I was stock gearing, if you time and slip it right, that nose will scrape the sky easy. I have noticed 3rd gear bounce stand ups are a bit easier since i isntalled the power commander however...
